Definition of STYLIST:

STYLIST: someone who puts all the clothing acessories and props together. "Designs" how the Model is Dressed in other words.

HAIR STYLIST: someone who just does Hair. In other words a Hair Dresser.

I felt I needed to provide a definition for Y'all.

Fashion Stylist

Aloha,
I'm moving to Boston from Honolulu and I'm a fashion stylist. I was wondering, since I'm new to the area if anyone knows if there is a demand for fashion stylists in the Boston area. If anyone needs one, let me know.

Hi all,

My name is Victoria Blue & I am a model returning to the scene. For the past 5 months, I have done some amazing work & I am continuing to build my portfolio & am constantly looking for new variety. Ffree to read over the details that I am supplying below about me, as well as check out my official site @ www.victoriablue.net & see all the work that I have done so far. :)

Location :: Connecticut; USA [travels often]

Height :: 5'9"

Weight :: 125-30 lbs

Eyes :: blue/hazel

Hair :: platinum blonde; above shoulder-length

Shoe Size :: 8 US

Chest :: 34D

Waist :: 24-25"

Corseted Waist :: 20-22"

Hips :: 37"

Body Mods :: 3 tattoos - 1 in the small of my back, 1 right below my neck, & 1 below my belly button; more are planned - inquire if curious

Ethnicity :: Swedish, German, Native American, British, Gypsy

Talents :: singing, dancing - many styles, acting, fast driving, nearly all sports, yoga, weight lifting, high flexibility, painting & many others; feel free to inquire about my possibilities

Interests :: singing, dancing, writing, acting, yoga, swimming, surfing, driving, traveling, practicing flexibility, latex, corsets, high heels, stockings, fetishes, bondage, learning new things, experimenting with new visual ideas, meeting new people, drawing, painting, exercising

Type of work i will do :: fashion, runway, sport, casual, swimwear, print/editorial, hair/makeup, parts modeling [hands, feet, legs, back, hips ... etc], art, lingere, glamour, artistic nude, erotic nude, fetish, latex, japanese rope bondage, corsets, high heels, stockings

NO "PINKS" OR SPREADS
NO PORN
NO UNPAID/TFP NUDITY
LIMITED TFP
IF TFP, I REQUEST HELP WITH TRAVEL EXPENSES
LOOKING FOR MORE PAID PROJECTS
VERY REASONABLE PAID RATES!

I have my own model release which I use on all my photoshoots; it can easily be modified per-shoot. I prefer to sign TFP contracts that give both the photographer & myself equal rights to the photos & any profit-sharing. Also, I read releases carefully & will not sign anything giving you the right to credit me under a name other than my own.

I'm a versatile model - always looking to explore new, interesting & creative ideas. I am very efficient in returning phone calls & e-mails, I am on-time & I don't "no-show". I'm very laid back & open; comfortable with on-location &/or studio settings.

I bring an escort along with me on first-time shoots. I only bring a person who has a professional attitude & who will not distract me or others from their work. This is nothing personal; only for my safety.

My all-time favorite idea for a photoshoot :: 50s pin-up style latex clothing with long, platinum blonde hair [extensions, if needed]; shot in a abandoned, decaying warehouse - even more preferably in an asylum or prison

I adore new, different & completely abstract projects; especially shoots that have a story or a creative theme. I'm always looking to try to new things & test my own creative limits.

I look forward to hearing from you,
<3 Victoria Blue

Lighting

I was flipping through this months Vogue (Gwen Stefane is on teh cover) and I noticed something interesting about the way many of the women were being lit.

In many of the ads and editorial shots many of the women were lit in a way which you would more traditionally see with men. There seems to be a lot of "Rembrandt" lighting on women in Vogue these days. Once upon a time that was a big no no.

There was even an ad where a woman was lit with rembrand lighting and there was a man in the ad who's head cast a second shadow across her face. Aesthetically it's not a very pleasing photo - but I guess that's not what they were going for.

Of course my main interest is photography, but I hope to hear from models, designers, stylists, makeup artists, event producers, etc.
