STYLIST: someone who puts all the clothing acessories and props together. "Designs" how the Model is Dressed in other words.

HAIR STYLIST: someone who just does Hair. In other words a Hair Dresser.

I felt I needed to provide a definition for Y'all.

Lighting

I was flipping through this months Vogue (Gwen Stefane is on teh cover) and I noticed something interesting about the way many of the women were being lit.

In many of the ads and editorial shots many of the women were lit in a way which you would more traditionally see with men. There seems to be a lot of "Rembrandt" lighting on women in Vogue these days. Once upon a time that was a big no no.

There was even an ad where a woman was lit with rembrand lighting and there was a man in the ad who's head cast a second shadow across her face. Aesthetically it's not a very pleasing photo - but I guess that's not what they were going for.
